AMALGAMATION: EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

ClubsNSW has been asked to make member clubs aware that the North Sydney ANZAC Club (“the Club”) is seeking an amalgamation partner.

The Club is located at Anzac Avenue, Cammeray.  The Club has approximately 3400 financial members, 52 gaming machines and gaming machine entitlements, synthetic bowling green, 2 synthetic sporting fields and 2 all weather tennis courts. The Club operates out of a multi level clubhouse with members lounge, 100 seat bistro, function rooms and an auditorium with seating for up to 300 people.

The land and building are currently leased from the North Sydney Council. The lease expires in October 2011. The Club is currently solvent and debt free.

The Club is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from clubs located within the same region with a view to exploring the possibility of amalgamation.  In accordance with the regulatory requirements, initial preference will be given to EOIs received from registered clubs located within a 50 kilometre radius.  However, this does not preclude EOIs from registered clubs located outside the 50 kilometre radius also being taken into consideration.
