Dirty Dick’s History

The Dirty Dick’s Organisation has been entertaining revelers Australia wide since 1970.

In Sydney, Dirty Dick’s first presented its nights of medieval fun & feasting in premises on Pacific Highway, Crows Nest.
After 21 years there, Dirty Dick’s re-located to a new location in Auburn, in Sydney’s west.
Due to the popularity of its shows, Dirty Dick’s has extensively toured its shows to numerous venues throughout Australia, as well as presenting seasons throughout capital cities in selected venues.

Throughout its history, the Dirty Dick’s organization may well have created some records.

For instance, over 5 million people have experienced Dirty Dick’s, consuming over 1.3 million kilograms (several herds) of prime roast beef, slurping 1.5 million litres of hearty vegetable soup, munching over 600,000 giant plum puddings, and savouring over 5.7 million litres of ale (that’s 3 Olympic swimming pools!!!). Over 1300 actors have appeared in over 35,000 stage performances. Phew!!!!

For six consecutive years, Dirty Dick’s Theatre Restaurant has been in the winner’s circle for the prestigious “Best Entertainment” Award as judged by the Entertainment arm of the Restaurant and Catering Association of NSW. It is also the only Theatre Restaurant ever to win the prestigious “Gold Plate” Award for food excellence.

“Up The Noble King Arthur” is the catch-cry of revelers as the reigning monarch selects his gallant knights of the round table in order to preserve justice & peace throughout the realm. King Arthur is overwhelmed by the support of the merrymakers assembled, and justly rewards them with a night of medieval mirth & merriment.

Sensational new songs, side-splitting comedy, hysterical games and audience involvement.
Laugh-a-long, Sing-a-long and Clap-a-long OR just enjoy a fantastic, fully themed night of Medieval merriment – a stage show, a feast, costumed lads and wenches –Its all loads of fun!!

Throughout the evening, a most hearty and traditional Medieval banquet is served to your tables by our costumed wenches and lads:
• Peanuts in their shells and fresh crusty Bread
• Tureens of hearty homemade vegetable Soup
• Prime roasts of tender Beef with all the trimmings
• Fruity plum Pudding with brandy custard
• Tasty Cheese and crackers, Coffee and tea
